The Independence Day Celebrations was held at JSS institutions campus on Wednesday, 15th August, 2018.To celebrate the historical event, the Students, parents, teachers, office staff, JSS B.Ed college staff and trainees were present.

The celebration was commenced by the prayer song sung by the school choir. Followed by, Soni L of 10th Standard extended her warm welcome to the invited chief guest, seated dignitaries and the parent community. She also gave a brief introduction of the chief guest. Then, the school choir paid homage to portrait of father of the nation Mahathma Gandhiji. The physical education teacher Mr. Kotresh requested the chief guest Dr. Mallikargun Gouda, Rtd. Medical officer, Huvinahadagali to hoist our Tri-colour flag. At the same time both the principals of JSS Institutions Campus accompanied the chief guest.

The house wise march-past was demonstrated before the chief guest and the honorable chief guest received the salutation, by the students belongs to various houses. Then joy was added to the Programme through the patriotic song sung by school choir group. The JSS public school students delivered speeches on 71st Independence Day in different languages. The music teacher of the school Mr. Ravi, entertained the audience by singing patriotic songs and 7th grade students expressed their patriotism by singing a patriotic song. It was followed by colourful dances performed by the children belongs to various classes.

The chief guest shared his personal experience on health issues as well as the fight for Indian independence. Then both the principals felicitated the chief guest. Shreyas.K of Class 10th offered the vote of thanks to the invited chief guest, dignitaries, gathered students and parents. Shreya K of grade 10 held and captivated the whole gathering through her colorful anchoring.
